Organisers say they portray the women's lives as if the war hadn't occurred
Dressed in high heels and designer dresses these dazzling models - all members of the Ukrainian army - have posed for what appears to be a traditional ballgown-inspired photo shoot.
But instead of accessorizing with a purse, they hold the sniper sights, grenade launchers, assault rifles and heavy machine guns they have used to fight the two-year conflict in the country's east.
The models - all front line troops in the two year conflict with ethnic Russian forces - were selected for the shoot to show what sort of life they might have led if the war had never happened.
A woman named Diana wears a sparkling gold dress while clutching an assault rifle and wearing protective army-issued fingerless gloves
The incredible ballgown dress flows down to the ground, where her protective vest and ammunition pack lies
Olena was pictured in a glittering black ballgown, who she too held her assault with an ammunition clip painted in the colours of the Ukrainian national flag
Her dress featured a split that ran up her left thigh, while on the ground sits the medical pack she uses to treat those injured on the front lines of the conflict against the Russia-backed seperatists
This woman was also identified only by her first name Inna. She holds her handgun while wearing a flowing red dress beside a grand piano
Organisers - who posted the results on Facebook - said: 'Thousands of women have gone through the horrors of war during past two years.
'We could not imagine how amazing these women who are protecting Ukraine are.'
They added: 'We picked twelve female warriors. Our aim is not to idealise them but to show them as they are.
'We put them in nice dresses because we wanted to make them feel a bit different from their lives on the front line.
'We know they have not worn dresses much during the last two years. Sometimes it is hard for them to get back to normal life, and we wanted to support them.'
And they continued: 'They are all different, but they use same words when talking about children, fighting, the death of their brothers in arms, their love of Ukraine.
'Their mottos are: 'Every life is worth fighting for', 'nobody goes to war to die there' and 'if not me, then who else?
'If it wasn't for the war these women would never have known each other. But they have met and they are all in this photo set now.'
In the pictures, one soldier called Diana wears a delicate creamy dress set off by an assault rifle in her hands.
A tattoo on her shoulder shows a sword flanked by two rifles while on her back, images of flowers have been inked in.
Another soldier named Inna is seen sitting smiling at a piano in a red dress with a handgun almost unnoticed in her hand.
One called Irina was pictured in a dazzling blue dress while cuddling her own sniper rifle in her arms.
A woman named Nadya poses with a black pistol next to a sports car while wearing a cream and red dress. Organisers of the photoshoot said they wanted to portray what the models' lives would be like without the war
Regina opted for a minimalist approach - here she is pictured in a simple purple dress holding a knife
A model named Irinia wears an extravagant blue dress, while holding a sniper rifle she is armed with during the conflict in the country's east
An assault rifle sits in the background of this photo of Olga, while her combat boots and radio equipment are used as props
Victoria wears a silky green dress, while holding an assault rifle and ammunition pack which are common among both male and female soldiers in the Ukrainian army
