Madonna allegedly put up fake 'No parking' signage to hog parking space
The pop singer was reportedly told by DOT to take the signs down
'It's really quite obnoxious' - neighbor

Madonna has angered her neighbors by hogging almost four cars' worth of prime parking space outside her $40 million Upper East Side townhouse - putting up fake 'No parking' signs to scare other motorists away.
The fake signage includes a 'No parking' sign posted on the singer's security gate, and a 'Tenant parking only' sign mounted on a pole in a flower bed on the sidewalk. Both of the signs threaten that 'unauthorized vehicles will be towed away.'
The pop icon apparently also had the words 'No parking' imprinted along the edge of the sidewalk, and painted the curb yellow.

The townhouse is four stories tall and sold for $40 million in 2009 - the most expensive apartment sold in the area at that time
'We've all been wondering for a while now if these signs are real and everyone on 81st Street has just accepted them,' a neighbor told Daily Mail Online outside the four-story Georgian-style townhouse Thursday morning.
'At first we thought it made sense as often you see middle age fans trying to catch a glimpse of her, so it looked like she had a permit to have them so she could come and go without being annoyed. We're now troubled that they could be fake as this just seems so entitled.'
Officials with the New York City Department of Transportation reportedly told Madonna on Wednesday that the signs had to be removed after a neighbor complained, according to TMZ.
But the signs aren't the only way Madonna annoys her neighbors.
'What has angered us the very most is that when she leaves one of her staff literally walks into the street and stops cars and pedestrians from passing. This way she can leave from inside the garage and not have to deal with the public,' a neighbor told Daily Mail Online.

'It's really quite obnoxious and we all joke that she is playing "Bitch I'm Madonna" as her chauffeured car drives her by all of us minions waiting on the street for her to pass.'
'The funny thing about this is that the Upper East Side is divided into two sections West of Lexington and East of Lexington. Madonna lives East of Lexington. West of Lexington is where the super-rich liv
