Suge Knight revealed in court on Wednesday that he had emergency surgery for a 'busted' appendix this month.
The 50-year-old Death Row Records founder hobbled his way to the defense table as he clutched his stomach and grunted with pain.
He told Judge Ronald Coen that not only did he have surgery, but he has an abscess near his colon that requires either another procedure or a catheter to his heart for antibiotics.
'I'm not good at all,' Knight told Judge Coen, who later told the hip hop mogul to take better care of himself and to 'start working out'.
Knight said he also has an abscess near his colon that requires either another procedure or a catheter to his heart for antibiotics (pictured in February)
'I was in real pain for like three weeks,' Knight said of his pain. 'They finally took me over to the clinic (because) I told the sergeant I can't stand up or move. …My appendix was busted.'
Knight, who is facing separate felony cases for an alleged murder and alleged robbery, said doctors found the abscess but it was 'too close' to his colon to perform a draining procedure.
He said that doctors want to put a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) to his heart, using heavy antibiotics to clear the abscess up.
But they said that Knight would have to keep it clean in order to avoid further infection in the area.
Knight claimed, however, that a jail official told him that he 'could snatch [the PICC line] out if he was taken to a non-sterile cell for recovery.
Judge Coen told Knight that the issue should be directly sorted out through his lawyers and the jail's chief physician.
'I'm very worried,' Knight's fiancee Toi Kelly told the New York Daily News outside court. 'Jail isn't fun for anybody, but these are major medical conditions. He needs to be in a sterile environment to properly heal.'
Kelly brought the couple's six-year-old son Legend in hopes that he could possibly see his dad from the gallery, but Judge Coen ordered the child to remain outside the courtroom.
Marion 'Suge' Knight has been locked up for more than a year after allegedly running over two men, killing one, outside a Compton burger stand in January 2015. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Wednesday's hearing, however, dealt with a separate felony robbery case stemming from an alleged theft in 2014 involving a photographer's camera in Beverly Hills.
Comedian Katt Williams is a co-defendant in the case. The men have pleaded not guilty.
Knight said on Wednesday that he just wants to move on with the case but he feels hampered by strict jail restrictions banning phone calls and visits with anyone other than his lawyers.
Judge Coen said that Knight would have to pursue his grievances with another judge because of a 'firewall' keeping Coen from the order that was governing Knight's jail stay.
He set the next hearing for his robbery case for June 21.
