Disturbing footage of model Berenger Rose covered in bruises and cowering away from her violent husband has emerged as she reveals the verbal and physical abuse she's endured since they exchanged vows
The model held her hands over her face and wept as she begged her husband Shane Cuthbert to stop hurting her after she claims he beat her with a pole, filmed her reaction and sent it to his friends as a sick joke

She said what started with a slap on the face soon escalated to unbelievable acts of violence that included her head being bashed against a brick wall, a cheese grater being used to slice her leg, clumps of hair being torn from her scalp and even allegations of rape.
'I told him he was taking away my basic human rights and he told me that I don't have any rights,' she told A Current Affair.
'He would hit my head, beat my arms, my legs, my hands, everywhere. He would just beat me like that until I was black and blue.'

The pair met after Mr Cuthbert approached the attractive blonde on Instagram. He charmed his way into her home in a month and had popped the question by their second month anniversary.
Once they were wed Ms Rose said he forced her to move from her home and life in Sydney to Mackay - a remote town in northern Queensland where she had no one to turn to.

'It was like he was joined to me,' she told A Current Affair.
'There was no privacy. I couldn't go to the bathroom with the door closed.'
Ms Rose said she would often lay awake in fear that she would become another domestic violence statistic.
'Every day, I thought "I am going to be that next victim. I am going to be that next woman that gets killed",' Ms Rose said.
The emotional torture worsened for Ms Rose when she said she sat alone on the cold tiles of her bathroom floor and miscarried their child while Mr Cuthbert spent the night out drinking with friends.
'It was like he was joined to me,' she said. 'There was no privacy. I couldn't go to the bathroom with the door closed.'
Fearing for her life, Ms Rose said she did not report the abuse and despite being knocked out on a number of occasions she was never allowed to visit a hospital for treatment
The 25-year-old is currently in police custody and is expected to face a string of charges in Mackay Magistrates Court on March 16

'He would call me crazy. Tell me that I was the one abusing him and I believed him. I thought I was the one with the problem,' Ms Rose said.
According to A Current Affair, Mr Cuthbert has an extensive criminal history and had even featured on the television program as an 'out of control child' whose parents were struggling with his Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) diagnosis.
The 25-year-old is currently in police custody and is expected to face a string of charges in Mackay Magistrates Court on March 16.
He has been charged over making and detonating an explosive device in Bowen on Christmas Eve, as well as one count of willful damage and one count of contravening a domestic violence order which occurred on February 29, according to police.
It is not known if Ms Rose has spoken to police about the allegations she made against her husband on a Current Affair.
