His mother insists 'communication between the pair was for a screenplay'

A former male model has been charged with hiring a hitman from behind bars to kill a judge, a district attorney, the lawyer who represented him and the teenage girl he was jailed for raping.
Dean Kelly, whose claim to fame is as a shirtless skinny-dipping hunk in Aerosmith’s video for Crazy in 1994, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence at Rayburn Correctional Center in Angie, Louisiana.
But despite this, prosecutors say Kelly tried a hire a former inmate at the prison to carry out the hits - offering $35,000 in cash, two luxury cars, a boat and BMW motorcycle, WVUE reports.

The victims of his alleged plot were Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro, Criminal District Court Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier, New Orleans City Council Chairman Jason Williams - who represented Kelly in his case - and the victim of the crime he was jailed for, according to Washington Parish District Attorney Warren Montgomery.
On Monday, the Washington Parish district attorney charged Kelly with four counts of solicitation to commit murder. Authorities discovered the plot in October last year.
Kelly’s mother, however, insists her son is innocent – and was simply helping the other inmate with his career prospects.
Marilyn Kelly says correspondence between her son and the inmate about a murder-for-hire plot were for a screenplay the pair were working on.

‘He [the inmate] wanted to go into acting and modelling and he wanted Dean to write a screenplay that they could practice while they were in jail so he could get the feel for it,’ she told WVUE.
She also claimed the inmate threatened her son and attempted to extort money from her family.
Kelly had avoided jail after being pleading no contest to sexual battery and carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2013.
He received a 10-year suspended sentence and five years of probation. However, in June 2014, Judge Flemings-Davillier ordered him to serve the sentence after he violated the terms of his probation – including soliciting women on Facebook, using aliases on social media and not registering all the phones he used.

Prosecutors said Kelly had raped a 14-year-old girl in February 2005 and a 17-year-old later that year, according to the New Orleans Advocate. Investigators also found a flash drive with child pornography on it at his home.
An attorney for one of the victims said Kelly had threatened the girls that their families would ‘end up at the bottom of Lake Pontchartrain’ if they reported him to the police, the Advocate reported.
