former World's Strongest Man turned haulage company owner is facing prosecution after saying he would beat any refugees who smuggled themselves on his lorries with a baseball bat.

Pole Mariusz Pudzianowski issued the threat after his company was fined £40,000 for unwittingly allowing eight refugees to smuggle themselves on board a Britain-bound truck at Calais. The brutish bodybuilder uploaded photos to Facebook of refugees hiding in the lorry's cargo alongside a picture of him wielding a baseball bat.


On the pictures' caption, he wrote: "With this [baseball bat] I'll be waiting on my trailer at the ferry from Calais to the UK.

Z tym będę czekał na naczepie do UK przed wjazdem na prom z Calais Mariusz Pudzianowski Transport. Na naczepie będzie przyśpieszona nauka asymilacji.

 "If someone attacks you, you have the right to defend yourself, and if you steal something and are caught in the act you have the right to deal with him to prevent crime."

The MMA fighter also claimed the refugees did £23,000 worth of damage to stock in the truck.

The MMA fighter also claimed the refugees did £23,000 worth of damage to stock in the truck. He added: "The cost of the destroyed goods is about 30,000 Euros. The driver was stopped by police for 48 hours and bailed for 5,000 euros and the matter is now waiting to go to court.

"At no time have I called for hatred or attacks on different religions, nationalities.
"There is a difference between the incitement to violence and defending when one is affected.
"I won't allow another group of immigrants onto my trucks. I don't want my employees to be put at risk from refugees armed with knives."

But he claims he was not anti immigration, just opposed to people who do not respect private property. He said: "I know immigrants, refugees who live in Poland. They are normal people, they behave like civilised people.

"But if someone behaves like cattle, whether it be in Poland, or abroad, I'll say something and not ignore it.
"I'm going to protect my own property. If someone breaks into my house, I will protect my belongings. It's the same with my employees and trucks."

Pudzianowski, who has previously served time for assaulting a local mafia boss, was long regarded as the strongest man on the planet after winning the title five times between 2002 and 2008.
