Flossie Dickey is 110 years old. She has three children, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was a settler at the turn of the last century, ate with outlaws and lived through the Great Depression. So pardon her if she doesn't give a damn about being on TV.

Nichole Mischke of Fox Spokane's Good Day Spokane dropped by Cheney Care Center in Spokane County, Washington, where Flossie has been since 2011, to wish her a happy birthday on Thursday, and maybe get some secrets to living a long life.

Mischke's relentlessly sunny disposition did little to move a distinctly unimpressed Flossie, who said she was 'not one bit' excited for her birthday party, and deftly swatted away the reporter's cheery questions with the determination of a woman who has seen more of life than most people on Earth, and isn't going to stop playing by her own rules now.

The video opens on Mischke enthusiastically introducing Flossie, who casually sips from a mug of coffee while she gazes off-camera.

'Flossie, you say you're a little tired this morning, is that right?' asks Mischke with the rosy glow of a seasoned morning TV presenter.

'I am tired,' Intones Flossie with the certainty of someone who has seen 110 years' worth of mornings, and would quite happily have given this one a miss.

'She is very tired,' smiles the indomitable Mischke, 'That's actually, I heard, your favorite activity to do at the center here, is to take a little nap.'

Flossie, with the promise of sleep dangled before her eyes by the same person who's not actually letting her enjoy it, ruefully replies, 'Take a nap, [as] many times as I can...'
Sleepy: Flossie, who was sipping coffee from a mug to perk her up, nevertheless seemed to just want to take a nap during the interview with Mischke (pictured, left) of Fox Spokane's morning show, Good Day Spokane

Local hero: Flossie had appeared on local newspapers as well as local television, but seemed unexcited by her popularity
