private school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sexual
relations with a student just two days after his wife was taken into
custody on the same charge.
Jamie
Franklin Parker, 32, who teaches math at Pickens Academy in Carrolton,
Alabama, was arrested on Wednesday, following the arrest of his wife,
30-year-old Charli Jones Parker.
They
were both booked into Pickens County Jail and charged with engaging in a
sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of
19 as a school employee.

reportedly have a young son together
Pickens Academy Headmaster Brach White released a statement following Charli Parker’s arrest, according to AL.com.
‘The
primary concern of Pickens Academy is the safety of our students,
Pickens Academy is very upset about the allegations against our
employee.,’ White said.
The
statement continued: ‘The employee will be suspended immediately and
further action may be taken upon investigation. I request prayers for
our school family and for all the families involved.’

The couple met at University of West Alabama and have been married since 2010, according to Tuscaloosa News.
